Please read this section before purchasing from G5 Clothing


It is important that your items are customised perfectly. You may have a design already made or you might like us to create one for you. Charges are listed below. If you are submitting artwork then it should be submitted in a suitable format as laid out in the artwork guidelines below, otherwise charges may apply.
However, this is judged on a case-by-case basis and more often then not artwork is free. The guidelines are quite scary and have been written for professional graphic designers. A Word document, or jpeg may be sufficient. If you are unsure then feel free to contact us

Printing and Postage period
All printing takes a minimum of three weeks to be individually printed bearing in mind that there are other clothing in the queue for print. As soon as the clothing has been printed you will recieve a email explaining the dispatch date.

All orders are sent via 1st class, recorded delivery.

Refunds & Returns
G5 Clothing do not accept returns or refund customised clothing. The reason being that we customise each order, to fit every individual customer's needs.
All items of clothing are checked and photographed after printing, before they are sent off to the customer.

If there is a problem with your item of clothing, contact us within 14 days of recieving your order and we will review your query. (We cannot guarantee that we will be able to return or refund your item or solve the problem, but we will definetly access it)

Design Guidlines
Art design for printing / screen printing is very different from any other type of design. This is due in large part to the inherent limitations of the printing process. In addition, the size of the designs necessitates the use of vector art as opposed to pixel based art. Blowing up art to fit on the full back of a t-shirt, or similar garment, requires crisp and exact lines.

General rules for submission
The general rules for submitting artwork are as follows:

• The art must be submitted in vector format (.ai, .cdr, .eps) – If you can’t supply the art this format then we can re-create artwork using another format (.bmp, .jpg, .gif, etc…). But a charge will apply for this service.

• On solid colour prints, the thinnest lines cannot be less than 3mm.

• On complex or photographic prints, we prefer the artwork in vector or a high-resolution image to ensure the finished product is of high quality.

• All text should be converted to outline

File Programs and Formats
Designs for clothing require the vector art format due to the necessity to blow up and resize art work. Since there are a variety of vector art programs, we have chosen .ai, .eps, or .cdr. If we had to get every vector art program and convert different versions of each file sent, we would have more trouble opening the files than we do already.

We prefer the files to be sent in the .ai or .eps format. We need artwork saved as version CS2 or below.

On solid colour prints, thinnest line can be no less than 3mm: The reason the thinnest line can be no less than 3mm is because of the process in which the print is prepared. The print has to be cut out using a plotter machine, after it has been cut out we have to weed (take off) the excess print that does not need to be printed, it is impossible to weed around lines less than 3mm. That is why all lines must be at least 3mm thick.

Text Converted to Outlines
Because there are thousands of fonts, and we could not have all of them installed in our computer, it is necessary for all text to be converted to outlines. This will allow us to view your files as they were designed, instead of having our program convert your font to one that is installed.

If you don't know how to convert text to outlines, please make sure you email a copy of the font you have used.
